Observational drawing and painting act as the foundation of Andy Lovell's work, imprinting memories from which he creates screenprints, lithographs and monoprints, exploring the layering of texture and colour.

Richard Long at Tate Britain

Made use of the boat service that runs between the two Tate galleries today for the first time. Can't believe we've not done it before.
We were off to see Richard Long's exhibition at Tate Britain which covers four decades of his work - from his monumental circles of flint and slate and huge energetic mud wall paintings to photographs of his transient actions on the landscape such as a line trodden into the dust of the desert floor. You'll also find an extensive display of his artists books and other printed matter. Highly recommended.
