So, we’re nearly there. Our new gallery opens on Saturday 7th March 2009.
It was about 6 months ago that it dawned on us that we might end up bursting at the seams sometime this year and when the opportunity to take on the lease of a gallery space in a nearby village came up, we had to take the plunge.
Our existing Aylsham premises will now be dedicated to the design of our fabrics and stationery (not open to the public).
At our new, slightly smaller gallery space in Itteringham (to the right of this photo), the emphasis will be on limited edition prints by the artists we collaborate with to create our St. Jude’s textiles and stationery. In addition, the gallery will host a number of individual artist exhibitions during the year.
In addition to the prints you’ll find a selection of our St. Jude’s notebooks, greetings cards, our cushion covers plus samples of our screen-printed fabrics (we won’t be holding much stock at Itteringham and may have to deliver larger fabric orders by courier).
We’re right next door to the community run village shop & café, and a short stroll takes you to the Walpole Arms. A few minutes down the road is Blickling Hall and a number of footpaths pass through the village.
As before, we’ll be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm.
If you’d like to be kept up to date with our exhibition schedule, please sign up for our gallery newsletter.
